It has been a while. But there is a very good reason.

This winter I have been busy implementing some new initiatives.

I
attended John Hartman's Marketing Bootcamp in Las Vegas in January. I
learned a lot at the workshop. It was a great experience.

Then it was off to Florida for a little rest and relaxation with the family. We had a great time.

I
spent much of February working on a new Wedding Guide and researching
new services and products. I also purchased the new Nikon D200, what a
great camera.

I was one of the lucky ones who got to take part
in the blizzard in February in NYC with my best friend, we were in town
to see Spamalot for my birthday. Times Square never looked so pretty.

To
end my travels I headed West again to LA to see my brother who is
attending law school. We had a great weather and we saw a taping of the
Tonight Show . . . I actually TIVO'd it and there I was shaking hands
with Jay. Pretty cool.

So, no, it was not all work, there was some time to play.

But, wedding season is just around the corner and it will be good to get behind the camera and do what I do best.

Thanks for reading,

j.

Mary J. We also found ourselves having to get out and push the car up the hill just to get traction.

As we were heading home on slightly better roads, the storm just stopped, and the sun came out. Note the car stuck on the right side of the road.

It took us three hours to go from Hartford, to Springfield, to Sturbridge, to Manchester, and then home.

We did finally make it to the Vineyard for presents and dinner the next day and had a nice time as always, it just took a little longer than we hoped.

Nice to see you all . . .

Stay warm,

j.

Vertigo, I'll Say

It was a dizzing mix of music and lights as U2 hit Hartford last night.

We had seats up in the nosebleed section and the steepness of the grade made Lori and I both think twice before rising to our feet to dance, sing and clap along with everyone in the place, but you get swept up in the flood and you just go where it takes you.

The song selection spanned much of their career, I particularly enjoyed the opening number "City of Blinding Lights." The light display was a piece of art, really neat to watch. The stage was equally impressive, with neon lights built in to create cool effects during different songs.

They tore the ceiling off the place with "Vertigo" and just kept going.

An interesting moment was when Bono pulled up a little boy during "Sunday Bloody Sunday" after talking about the sons of Abraham and the idea that all faiths can coexist. The boy sang with Bono "no more" and when Bono asked him his name he said, "Jacob." Bono was speechless for a moment and then just said, "Wow."

I can only imagine his mom and/or dad was having fits seeing their child sitting on the front of the stage with Bono, jaws dropped to the floor.

j.
Thank You

To all the couples who asked me to join them this year on one of the most important days of their lives, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

It was a pleasure to bear witness to your wedding celebration.
