| | This weekend, we traveled to Martha's Vineyard to see the family for a combined Thanksgiving/Christmas, thus Thanksmas.
Our travels were complicated by the storm that rolled through Friday.
We attempted to head out after lunch hoping the storm would wind down as predicted, but it still had a bit of punch left in it and we got caught in the middle of it.
The worst of it was on 84 leaving the Mass Pike near Sturbridge.

The tractor trailers were no match against the snow, it just brought traffic to a standstill. We also found ourselves having to get out and push the car up the hill just to get traction.
As we were heading home on slightly better roads, the storm just stopped, and the sun came out. Note the car stuck on the right side of the road.

It took us three hours to go from Hartford, to Springfield, to Sturbridge, to Manchester, and then home.
We did finally make it to the Vineyard for presents and dinner the next day and had a nice time as always, it just took a little longer than we hoped.

Nice to see you all . . .

Stay warm,
